Rebekah Madison- Kansas

My name is Rebekah Madison, I am the mother of two young boys. I had heard many wonderful things about Charlie Rogers, the preacher. I told Toni Rittenhouse that I would try and make it to church between my two jobs.  My children were with their dad for the weekend. I decided I really should make an effort to keep my promise to Toni. I thought," He couldn't make my life any "worse"and I needed a hug.

I drove as fast as I could at seven in the evening to Elkhart, Ks. I had to be back at work by eleven that night in Liberal. Toni hugged me when I got to the church. I was so tired from moving furniture earlier that day. My body was hurting on the inside and out. My heart was hurting from missing my babies. They were with their dad who does not love himself, let alone his kids.

My back hurt so bad from moving furniture into a basement apartment, I could not believe anyone could love me like I am. I am always tough on the outside and my heart had a hard shell to protect my emotions that had been hurt in the past. I went through the actions of church and sang the songs.

Towards the end of church, I was thinking about my boys and all the work I had to do in the next twelve hours. That is, until Pastor Charlie called me out of my day dream and ask me to come to him. I instantly went into protection mode. He held my hands and began to pray, God told him about my back. I knew I had never spoken to this man before. Let alone tell him that my back was so pain filled. He raised my hands and I felt a warm rush and my heart started to open and I felt a small hug around my broken little heart. My back pain was instantly gone.

I knew that it would all be ok. My kids were God's before they were given to me, and everything I worry about is already DONE by HIM.

So, FYI if you think you can't, then you will not. If you believe God can, then IT IS FINISHED!
