Making It Work In Our Lives!

by Charlie Rogers

Regardless of what you’re calling is in this life here on earth, whether it is to be a farmer, or drive a truck, or be a preacher, we are all expected and instructed by the Word of God to begin to make character changes along the way.  All the while developing this image and beginning to follow what He has for us to do.  The Holy Spirit is here to make sure that you run the race and deliver you to the Lord Jesus Christ, whenever Jesus comes again.  That’s one of His jobs.  You were sealed by the Holy Spirit to the day of redemption.  That redemption is complete with the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit was sent to keep us.  He’s part of our inheritance.  He’s the one that reveals our inheritance.  He’s the one that keeps us until the day that Jesus comes for you.  Glory to God!

Rom 5:3-5

3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. NKJV

Hope!  If you don’t have hope, you can have hope.  Regardless of what the devil says.  Regardless of what circumstances say.  Regardless of what the world says.  As you worship through the tribulations, your character has been developed through these tribulations, turning into perseverance, perseverance turning into character, and character produces the hope.  What you do in the tribulations, not the tribulations themselves, causes you to get back your hope and for that hope to cross the line to faith.  Faith produces the manifestation of whatever your need is.

Remember what “to glory in your tribulations” means to do?  It means to worship.  Worship is an important key for us to activate in our lives.  We need to worship Him in these tribulations.  When you’ve been hit with all these circumstances, all these tribulations, you feel like you’re going to fall.  You’re feeling like you’re standing there with one leg kicked out from under you, with one eye looking up in the air, and one eye looking down at the ground.    What’s your image?  Your character produces hope when you worship in these tribulations.

Now worship isn’t, “Oh, why do I have these tribulations.  Woe is me.”  NO!!!! Worship is “Oh Jesus, I worship You.  You are my hope, Jesus.  I worship You and praise You.”  The devil comes knocking with tribulations.  “Oh Jesus, I worship You.”  The devil gives you a bad headache.  “Oh Jesus, I worship You in these tribulations.”  Your body starts to act like its sick, convinces you that you’re sick.  “Oh Jesus, I worship You in these tribulations of sickness.  Jesus, I worship You.  You’re still on the throne.  Nothing’s changed with You.”  Circumstances don’t change You, Jesus.  Nothing changes You.  You change not.  Oh, I worship You.”   “You’re still the Healer.  You’re the Healer yesterday, today, and forever.  That’s You Jesus.  You’re the miracle worker yesterday, today, and forever.”   “You’re peace yesterday, today, and forever.  You’re prosperity yesterday, today, and forever.”  “Oh Jesus, I worship You, and praise You, and thank You.”  They laid a bunch of people off.   “Jesus, I worship You, and praise You, and thank You.”  They were ugly to me at my job.  “Oh Jesus, I worship You.  I give You glory and honor and praise.”  The Pastor picked on me all Sunday morning.  “Oh Jesus, I worship You, and praise You, and thank You. I give you glory Jesus.  You are my hope.  You are the Author and the Finisher of my faith, Jesus.”  It is a good thing to incorporate confession of the Word with your worship.  To tell Jesus what He is in your life.

Worship in these tribulations produces perseverance, to stand when the devil is kicking one leg out from under you.  Worship causes you to be able to stand in these tribulations.  Then through those tribulations, through that perseverance, all of a sudden, character is developed.   You start loving on others and caring about those that have done you wrong.  You stop hurting others and start believing in the Word of God.  “By His stripes I was healed.  I doubt not.  He already healed me 2000 years ago.”  Then that character produces hope and all of a sudden, there is light at the end of the tunnel.  “Jesus is still on the throne.  By His stripes, I am healed.  Glory to God!  I cannot fail.  Because love does not fail.  The love of God flows in me, and through me.”  Why?  Because you chose to worship Him and confess the Word of God.

“Jesus, I worship You, praise You, and thank You.”  I glory in these tribulations.  “I give You glory, Jesus.”  “You’re worthy of the praise and honor Jesus.  I worship You.  Oh Jesus, there is none more than You.  You are everything to me.  You’re my prosperity, you’re my peace, you’re my health Jesus.  You’re everything to me.  You saved me.  I’m going to heaven Jesus.  Glory to God!  You died on my behalf that sin shall not have dominion over me.”  Glory to God!  When that sin comes knocking in the form of tribulations that worship causes you to preserver, and then begin to change your character.  Your not worshiping God and confessing His Word to convince Him, He doesn’t need to be convinced.  It’s you and I that need to change the doubt and unbelief in our lives.  God’s not stuck, we are!

Now, all of a sudden, sin truly doesn’t have dominion over you.  You truly are an over comer.  Not just saying it, but you truly are an over comer.  Now all of a sudden, you cross into hope on your way to faith.  You continue on in this worship and confession until you cross from hope into faith.  Now I can walk free.  No more can sickness drag me down.  No more can confusion, doubt, and unbelief override my mind.  Now I’m free from those things, and I can complete the race set before me.  Why?  Because I chose to worship through those tribulations.  “Jesus, my healer, my salvation, my miracle worker, my prosperity, Jesus, I worship You.”  I glory in spite of these circumstances and tribulations.  “I worship You.”  Are you going to spend more time worshipping Him?  Are you going to start asking Him to help you change that image?
